“Each week is different, but it’s a very adult show featuring drag, tranny singers and comics. She hosts an event every Thursday at Flex Cocktail Lounge called “Flamboyance Show.” Stephanie Danderson was crowned at the fundraising event and gave me the inside scoop on some of the best gay clubs and bars in Vegas. But to my delight, when I walked in, there was a full-fledged pageant going on. I heard about a gay country line-dancing bar and obviously I had to go check it out. I had the pleasure of wandering into the “Imperial Royal Sovereign Court’s King and Queens of Diamonds Competition” at Charlie’s Las Vegas just off the Strip. Today, the gay scene is more robust than ever before, with clubs on and off the Strip catering to every type of tourist.
Drag Queens have been a part of Las Vegas since Liberace was still trying to convince his audience he wasn’t gay.
